I have been looking around at some rigs that are using water cooling. The overall look/temps have perked my interest.

Where do I start? I need to know how + what to buy to get going. Any help would be great and any information would be great....

First off, are you wanting to watercool the cpu and gpu? And what is your budget? That will be a great way to start.

Both GPU and CPU, budget is not sure. I have no idea what something like this would cost. I don't want a cheapo system though but under $600 (maybe)

$600 is a huge budget, it will probably take $300-450 depending on blocks and whether its a single or double loop.
Thermochill and HW Labs make the best rads. The D5 vario pump is a good solid reliable pump. I like Danger Den because of my close northwest ties to them and having met them at various LAN parties, they are cool generous guys. Many here like the Dtek Fuzion CPU block, and EK full cover GPU blocks and the swiftech MCW60 GPU core block. I use 3/8" Tygon tubing over 1/2" barbs for a tight seal (ID of a 1/2" fitting is only 3/8" anyways), it's very soft and easy to make tight bends, a lot of people like 7/16" masterklear but I've never used it so I can't comment on it. I use a t-line right now instead of a reservoir, it's just a matter of personal preference but res's do bleed a lot faster, I'm probably going to switch to a swiftech micro res sometime so it doesn't take forever to bleed.

Educate yourself on water cooling so that you can better evaluate the advice you'll get. You'll at least understand the terminology.

Res > Pump > CPU > Chipset > GPU > Rad

Always have the GPU last in the loop because it runs the hottest.

People recommend having the reservoir above the pump (gravity feeds the pump and takes some strain off it) Some people also recommend the Res been the highest point of the loop because it bleeds the system easier.

For Rads you will most probably need a Thermochill 360 of some sort, they are highly regarded and with a GPU in the loop you need a decent rad + fans!

For a Reservoir it is up to you, whether it be a fillport or a res. I like a res because i found it easier as a beginner.

For a CPU block everyone will say the D-Tek FuZion. It is a great block but i don't know why people don't recommend the XSPC X20 Delta. It is practically half the price and performs on par (sometimes 1C higher than the FuZion when the system is OC'ed)

For tubing, people recommend Tygon. Which is very expensive stuff, i use generic stuff and have never been disappointed.

For pumps the D5 is popular because it is a little work horse, and you decide how much you want it to work. I like my Laing DDC (which are awesome too, a little bit more expensive though) With a decent top on it they run pretty damn good

for Coolant i wouldn't get anything other than Feser 1. It is UBER cheap compared to everything else, it is de-ionized and outperforms all the other coolants. It has the best variation of colours and i can say it is pretty good stuff.
