Stupid reservoir question.

So I'm really new to watercooling, and I'm not even planning on doing it anytime soon, but I had a quick question in case there ever was the possibility of doing it.
__________________Is it possible to make a reservoir out of an old energy drink can( or two), and if it is doable, how hard would it be to get it done? Go ahead, laugh, it was just and idea I came up with when I had my friend over and was showing him my build.

It's possible if you can seal the joints, but the idea of a reservoir is to be able to see the fluid level. An aluminum can would prevent that.

Assuming its not made of aluminum (which most are), or if you have no conflicting metals in the rest of your loop (i.e. copper + aluminum is a bad mix), then you should be OK to use it. It's always good to see people making stuff out of junk around the house, just read up on galvanic corrosion.

Your best bet would be a plastic bottle.
Preferably one that is at least semi-transparent in order to see the fluid level as well as having the add benefit that plastic is easier to work with and no conflicting materials to worry about
