WaterCooler

ok so when i first installed my watercooling i was so wacked when my radiator leaked 3/4 of a bottle of coolermaster coolant all of the dinner table. Luckily the radiator is at the bottom of the case.
So now, my issue is my cpu block (D-Tek FuZion) has 1/2" barbs with 1/2" tubing... problem is that the barbs are so close together that the tubing touches each other even without clamps. I have no room to fit on metal screw clamps. Any Solutions??

Would cable ties be strong enough?
Im having issues with the whole attachement in my kit... I might turn down my pump for abit and see how it does... Most worrying part is if it pops off first to go is the graphics card ![]()

well what you have to do is put the tubes on one at a time so when you tighten up the first hose clamp it gives you room to slide the second hose clamp in

that is why you run your loop, at least for 24 hours, not hooked up to anything. Then it won't leak on anything, thus the term, leak test. I don't even use hose clamps anymore thanks to Dukie, I used zip ties, much easier to cut off versus screw clamps or the clicky ones.

Yer i didnt do a leak test since i have experience with watercooling. It was the barbs the company gave me for the radiator, they're very poorly threaded, i had to add liquid thread fastener as used by plumbers.
I tried the "tighten first one then do second one" routine, didnt help.

What size tubing are you using? My Fuzion can handle 3/4" outer dimension with metal screw clamps just fine. Put both hoses on, wiggle the clamp in between so it gets around the first hose, then tighten it down. The hose will compress slightly, then wiggle in the 2nd clamp for the other hose. You shouldnt have any problem with it.
__________________Dont try to slide the clamp down the tube until its in place. Disconnect it until it resembles a C and then wiggle it in around the barb area. It'll work just fine, it just takes a little finesse. edit: I guess you tried this, but Im not sure why it doesnt work for you?

Sorry to hear that you had this nightmare.
![]() I can relate to your issue. Yes. zip ties will be strong enough. I use 4 (2 on each barb), and I stagger them as they will not fit back-to-back. On another Fuzion I have single zip-ties that are 1/8" wide. None of the loops that I have used zip-ties on have ever leaked from those points. ...hope you didn't ruin your Dining Table. ![]()

I know the inner dimension, you never stated the outer dimension. Do you have any smaller OD tubing, like 5/8"? I know its a comprimise, but if you cant get the 3/4" OD tubing to work, you could use a smaller OD tube, and gain some space.
