Default Just got this WC setup for free, how good is it?

its a Koolance EXOS-Liquid cooling system.

http://www.overclockers.com/articles636/

the guy said the CPU block is shot so i would need a new one. it also came with a gcard cooler. it has a gel - type bag inbetween 2 pieces of metal. i figure this is probably useless on current gen cards.

how well would this cooling system work with say, a d-tek fuzion block? could it run a NB block too?

koolance is famous for their shoddy quality, they use allot of aluminium parts, and a D-Tek Fuzion uses copper, cross the two and u get problems, for free its not bad, because its free, you could probably salvage the radiator, and fans, and then build from there, but I really don't think much else is too good. they also use 3/8" tubing which is weak in this day and age...

If you decide to go with that, replace that cpu waterblock with another Koolance waterblock. Koolance designs their products around the fact they use an aluminum radiator. If you go mixing other stuff into that setup you'll end up seeing corrosion.

I recommend you ditch it in favor of a Petra kit, or build your own.

But its free guys, hes asking if he got a decent free watercooling setup. Not to build him a new one.

I'd say get your hands on an alluminum CPU block, do some EXTENSIVE leak testing (koolance and leaks go together like cream and sugar) and then test fit it. See what your temps are like and go from there. If you like it, sweet, if not, salvage and toss.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it will work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single/Non-Modular Rail PSUs are NOT better than Multi-Rail/Modular

no your not listening, get a aluminum water block if you must. personally I would dump it. no one around here is a fan of koolance for good reason, their crappy quality.
