skimming my shopping sites for kicks and saw a few of the Blastflow blocks for sale at moddersmart

one for the 8800GTX


and one for the 8800GT


anyone give these a go yet? i had read a bit about them, but never followed up to check out any reviews

I haven't heard anything about those yet, I saw them the other day and the concept of having it modular and being able to change the plate with-out removing the block is pretty neat...From what I can see of it, it doesn't look very restrictive..I've never heard of that brand before....

My concern would be that the coolant in the corners will just sit there in the eddies, and not circulate out.

yeah, I had read about it as well. Supposedly universally compatible (backwards and forwards) with simply a retention mechanism change.

it's a nice idea, was wondering if anyone had read any reviews or used it yet.

aside - whoa i linked big pics didn't look that big on my 22" at home lol

The pics are perfect, I just picked up an 24" HP the other day, 1900 x 1200 is sweet, probably the best computer upgrade yet..
