Default Applying thermal grease for watercooling?

Hey Guys,

Do I apply thermal grease the same as I would if I was applying it to a HSF. The video that came with my kit from DD showed them smearing the thermal grease throughout the CPU. Also Am I able to use AS 5 to the block?

Apply the same as you would for an air HSF.

Agreed.

Just because you're changing the type of cooling doesn't mean you need to change the application method that you have been using all along. Personally I'd go based on what they show on the AS5 website as opposed to a thin layer because I find that to be too much and some of it squishes out the side.

While it won't cause a problem unless you go completely overboard it makes things cleaner for when you remove the block in the future.
