The mounting hardware consists of some hex nuts washers, springs, spring limiters, and thumb nuts.
Now my question is for the users of the D-Teks, do you tighten the thumb nut until spring limiter stops the thumb nut compressing the whole spring, or do you tighten until you feel warm and fuzzy inside I ask because I don't want to over tighten and mess something up. I've tightened all 4 at 15 half turns starting from when the mounting stud and thumb nut were flush on top.

I don't use a Fuzion, but I always bottom my springs out...As long as you have a back-plate you should be fine...Or if you don't want that hard a mount just snug them down evenly till its not real easy to twist your block around...
I quit doing hard mounts with-out springs because I kept breaking the back-plate mounting legs off...

Just crank it down until it either won't go any further or your finger tips start to peel off
, in which case wait a little bit and then tighten it till it hits the limiter.

I tighten with my fingers. to start off, three to four turns corner to corner to make sure i evenly spread the thermal paste over the processor IHS. when i think thats enough, i tighten it up till my fingertips turn red. i usually wrap a pair of pliers in toilet roll and use em hold the screw to stop it from turning as i turn the thumb nuts.
http://www.overclock.net/gallery/sho...0/ppuser/45103 As you can probably see, i wont get it any tighter than what it is now. those springs are as small as they'll go. I don't use a backplate either, (because i don't have one ) but i think it would be safer to do so. cracking the mobo is certainly possible if your not careful.
