Default WC parts -under 300$

What's the best parts you can get for the Coolermaster Cosmos-1000?

Loop will be for CPU, although i might include NB since the stock 780i NB cooling is extremely loud, but then I would need to get cooling for the whole mobo since its all attached.

Again to show front: Possible single rad there? Sorry its blurry :/

Copy and paste this into Paint and have fun! ...ok I'll be more straightforward: Give me ideas now!

Setup 1 of many to come. Suggested by: me! Plus rep to anyone who takes the time do do the same :P

setup 2 is with double-rad in back

Maybe 2 pumps, one right before the CPU block to get the water through fast? or maybe that pump thats integrated with the Apogee GT? (of which the follwing pic is)

Can it keep up with a Mcp-355?

The D-tek fuzion was OOS so I chose the Apogee GT, still a great block. Only loses by 1-3C to my knowledge.

Wow, there are plenty of fans in the pimped out case!

I'll second the Swiftech Apogee GT block with 3/8" fittings and a Swiftech MCP355 pump.
As for a radiator, DD or Swiftech have plenty to choose from.

Running a 3/8" ID tubing (1/2" OD) would be ideal in your setup since space could get tight using larger tubing overall.

The DDC pump puts very little heat into the cooling loop while under operation. It's an excellent choice for longevity and has more than enough flow for your needs.

Good to see another cosmos member going the W/C way lol..
I even see a front panel fan mod as well been thinking about doing that too
cosmos cases tend to heat up pretty easily and air flow is not the best a price you pay to get a quiete case i guess

I went with the Swiftech Apex Ultra H20-220 kit got it for $200 bux
and its only cooling my CPU reason why I went with a kit is because its my first time at water cooling and didnt want any surprises this kit has everything you need to get started then later down the road once your comfortable with W/C you can get addons like NB cooling and GPU cooling

GT's have 'replaced' by the newer GTX..which are better for multi-core cpu's like Q4's. I got the copper top for a little flare..not really sure if it helps with temps.

You should really stick with 1/2" fittings all around..you will have much better flow rates. As for radiators.. either a PA thermochill or a BlackIce GTX is top of the food chain for cooling..and size to fit your space requirements.

D5 vario [MCP655 or any other variation] is an excellent pump..you could go with a Dtek pump..or Petra's if you want to save a few $$.. but any will be fine for 1-3 blocks and a radiator.

IMO the GTX is better because it STOPS galvanic errosion.

Get the fuzion its better for the money you will spend on it....

Im back after bit of laid-back research...

Nice little guide there, Crusader. BTW +repped every1 cuz good comments

Been thinking: how come TEC blocks are so cheap? They beat normal blocks...are people scared of something I dont know about? Like its so cold its actually bad? Ive seen those go into the negative-Cs in Idle...

Right now looking at:

Block: D-tek Fuzion or Swiftech GT or a TEC one? Maze4(-1) anyone?

Pump: Laing DDC-3.2 18W (MCP355) or DDC-3.1

The 3.2 with top beats the 3.1 with custom top BUT seems to have more problems with different tops? anyone? maybe 3.2 with a Radiical Turbo Head 3

RES: uhh...idk...at all....maybe a 5 1/4 inch..

RAD: Black Ice, Coolingworks Coolrad...

TBH I don't know much about TEC, but AFAIK you can't use TEC blocks in a normal w/c loop. Get a black ice GT extreme should do.

Do you need a special fluid or rads or something? Looks pretty cheap for how it cools...
