If it is a newer fuzion, it is bowed from the factory. Not sure it is a good idea to lap it. You can try another reseat. My temps are a few degrees off as well.

well lap it after you take it apart.

uhm.... but those are good temps for idle? (using cortemp to read?)

what's your ambient, clocks, and voltage? the ones in your sig? if so, very nice... what's it loading at with prime95 small FFTs?

no it does not. on a TDX (non mc) it was idleing at mid 30s on all cores, so i think its relatively flat.

ive been thinking about taking it apart to remove the extra rubber around the gaskets (i should have done it before i filled my loop i know, i wanted my rig running).

i am using coretemp to read temps (also uguru for reference).

will try prime95, did about 20mins of 2x orthos.

since my last post i have reseated my fuzion and ran doublemark (great work licht) for about 20 minutes. 100% load across all 4 cores with temps which seems to have stabilized at 62/60/52/52.

so what do you guys think? worth the trouble of ripping it apart lapping, etc or just leave it be.

Yea those temps seem way far apart. I just put my q6600 in a MB with the zalman 9700 and im getting idle of 30 30 30 27. Cant remember the load temps atm.

Also my q6600 is the one with the tapered edges running @3.2ghz.

Edit: load temps so far are 56 54 56 54
