I'm really thinking about doing a water cooling setup and buying a new computer case this summer (it's going to be a very nice case). My budget is going to be somewhere in the price range of $200-$400....maybe a little bit more since my birthday is in July. I'm not for sure which cases are the best for doing a water cooling setup and I'm also not for sure how hard it would be to transport a water cooled computer, since I have never had one before and I'm going to be moving my computer around for the next year since I still have one more year left in college. Thanks

Here are a few case options:

By "complete watercooling solution", I'm guessing you mean something like the thermaltake bigwater and products like that? From what I've heard around here they can hardly perform better than the best air coolers with some good airflow, but cost quite a bit more and can be rather badly made. Having water leak all over your computer isn't fun, so I've heard.
It's far better to save up and buy some decent watercooling parts and put it together yourself.

It would be best to make your own water cooling setup by buying individual parts.

The Thermaltake Armor is very heavy. But its also very roomy and you can stuff a lot inside no problems. Its definitely not suited for easy moving.

I'm really looking to put a water cooling system together plus buy a new case with a ballpark figure of $200-$400. I really need ideas because I'm clueless as to what I should buy and what is good and what is not so good. This water cooling setup is going to have to be portable because of transportation to and from college.

What are u gonna cool in ur loop that will determine price. $250 for a CPU only loop is good. be prepared to spend more for gpu,nb cooling. So where is this in ur case budget still?

I'm going to have my 21st. birthday in July so I'm going to use some of that money to buy a really nice case. As far as GPU and Motherboard cooling goes I'm still not for sure about that but I would definitely consider cooling my graphics card.

I'm going to put the B-Day money into buying a new case and then I'm going to take half of a weeks paycheck to buy my water cooling set-up.
