Default Thinking about going water. Questions:

1. How much would a complete watercooling kit run me $ wise?
2. What's a decent kit?
3. Is it very risky to do it?
4. Is it noisier than my Nirvana 120?
5. How hard is it to set up?
6. How much more OCing room would i get?

Well if your gonna watercool your e8400 I think it may not be worth it. Those E8400 can hit 4.0ghz on air with a good HSF and stay very cool at low vcore. Too much vcore and you will break your fragil 45nm chip.

I second this, more than likely the voltage of your chip will restrict you rather than the temps for 24 hour use.

If you however have money burning a hole in your pocket and you want to see how high you can bench it for non 24/7 runs then go for it.

Decent kits will run you 225-250 said and done. And will be more challenging to set up than MOST air cooling but not undoable in the least bit. Plus isn't that half the fun

You don't have a good candidate for watercooling since temperature isn't your limiting factor. When considering watercooling, don't forget to consider how often you move your box around (lan, etc). Also, there is some maintenance involved, but nothing too time consuming. As far as noise, there is no concern there until you get air bubbles in the line. There is nothing more annoying than that noise, though
