Default Water Cooling Loop Question

Hey all

I have recently completed my first water cooling set up.

my loop is as follows

Pump-> GPU 1 -> GPU2 -> CPU -> Rad -> Res> (repeat)

my temps are as follows, everything at stock speeds

(IDLE)
Gpu1= 45c
GPU2= 47C

CPU=35 (ILDE) 47 (FULL load)

i was wondering.... i dont much like my CPU temps, many people have told me that i was dumb to put the GPUs before the CPU. these temps are pretty high so i am thinking that OC is out of the question, or is it?

i was thinking of adding another radiator. currently i have a 3x120mm fan radiator. what do you guys think of adding this radiator to the loop between the CPU and GPUs. do you think it will have a significant impact?

furthermore, do you think my pump can handle it? i currently have this pump

do you think that this would significantly lower the CPU temps so that i can overclock it?

Your temps are not bad at all, sure they are a tad higher than most would like at stock..but you have quite a lot a heat being dumped by the SLi.

1. Yes your pump can handle another rad, as long as you run them in series- so its all one big loop [splitting with a 'Y' really kills pressure]

2. I would put the rad in-line like this-: RAD1->pump->RAD2->CPU->GPU1->GPU2-> :that is sure to lower temps as much as possible for your cpu and allow you to OC a little more.

i dont think those temps are that bad .. what you got your cpu running at ?
you should have the rad before the cpu too
what is your current system?

If your going to add a second rad. I would go ahead and pickup a second pump and split that loop up. I would not add a second rad. since it would slow your flow rate down some, that 360 rad. has its hands full as it is.

CPU only loop

GPU only loop

I totally strike my previous post... those are freaking amazing temps for that hardware. Tt is not exactly know for their excellence in the water cooling department. Lets just say..you could easily upgrade to better CPU block and decrease temps, just as easy as a 2nd RAD.

*in short.. the Tt cpu block is teh suk! Thank goodness for your pump [it is your saving grace]

I would change the loop order to:

res > pump > rad > CPU > GPU1 > GPU2 > etc....

The most important thing is CPU temps, so you want to have the coolest fluid possible for it. Which means putting the rad right before it and the gpu's after.
