Default One GTX 480 or two 360's?

To cool a Q6600 G0 at 3.3-3.6Ghz and two 8800 GTX's at probably 620-650 core.

Will an MCP655/D5 Vario be enough for 2 360's?

Why I'm going insane on radiators is because I want to use quiet fans (~45 CFM).

Yeah the pump should be fine, if you are running low restriction blocks on all of it, like and un-jetted Fuzion and Swifty 60's on your GPU...I'd think about running 2 separate loops if you are looking for max OC's...

2 loops (360) would be best.

But 2 360s in series would certainly beat out a single 480 just by the sheer area of the two rads combined. Either way it'll be nice

Thanks for the help guys!

I already have EK blocks for the GPU's and was planning a fuzion with the nozzle kit for the CPU.

If I'm going with two 360's and separate loops with 2 pumps, can I use DDC pumps instead? I'm not looking for extreme overclocking, those numbers many can get with aircooling. I just want them cool enough for 24/7 which also means less noise.

How do two MCP655's sound when it's all quiet at night?

The 655 is the quietest pump I have heard yet with AMAZING flow. Just a minor humming. You will still hear the fans over the pump at 45cfm.

The EK block on my 3870x2 is the most restrictive part of my loop. The GTX version looks to be of the same design. The pump can handle it. Just so you are aware of where the restriction will be.

I strongly suggest a x flow design whether you go dual 360 or single 480. Moreso the dual 360. Also the smaller 355/350 style pumps are a fair deal louder than the huge 655.

You should be able to cool that setup with just the 480GTX. Of course it will be better with two 360 rads. My system has no problems cooling two gpus and a quad @ 3.6Ghz (1.44v) 24/7 during the summer(27c ambient) and 3.9Ghz(1.65v) during the winter(20c ambient). If you decide to get the 655 pump make sure you get the variable version.

Ambient here is a bit high. I would guess around ~30-36c in summer indoors (down to ~25c if the AC is on).

The two GTX's run hotter than the G92 GTS's. They idle at around 66C now and it's not even summer yet.

Well I'm thinking maybe a single 480 won't work so I'm leaning towards 2 360's and separate loops. So my last question is: shall I go ahead and order two MCP655's with it or will it be overkill and a single pump should work fine?

+Rep for all! Thanks guys.

Last month when I was testing 3x Ultras I had them hooked up to a DDC Ultra with EK Top and a Thermochill PA120.3.

All three cards were idleing under 30 deg and never went above 40 under load.
A CPU only loop on a PA120.3 is overkill but i've you've got the space then go for it.

I'd deffo run a DDC Ultra on the GPU loop but a DDC Pro would be fine for the CPU loop.
