Default My Upgraded Rig (Cosmos S)

Everest Specs:

For now, enjoy pictures, because everybody likes 'em.

Also, *** happened to my MOBO? It still works - at least.

This is my first "Rebuild" Ever. Boy, I couldn't sleep when I ran the loop overnight. Also had an upcoming test prep for my Japanese final the day after....

CPU: q6600 @ 3.6GHz

GPU: 8800GTS 320MB (g80) x2 Sli

Mobo:
Evga 680i ...A2 rev.

RAM:
4GB G.Skill 800Mhz (1gb x 4) will remove 2 modules in future - because only sees 2.3GB in WinXP - other 1.6+ GB reserved for other hardware.

Case:
Cosmos S (god, wire management isn't easy, the side panel would close very well! Had to tape to prevent spontaneous burst of chassis door)

PSU:
OCZ 700w

Water Stuff:

Zalman Fan controller

Swiftech Rads (1x Triple, 1x Double) = 3x120mm Fans for Triple, 4x120mm for Dual (Push/Pull)

Swiftech Vario Pump (off the 'egg)

Masterkleer / Hardware pickup tubing

Primochill anti-kink coils

Primochill Blood Red dye (60% of the tube used at time of picture, decided to dump the whole syringe after...)

Petra's Pentosin (pink) Coolant (water wetter - helps purge system of bubbles over time much fastr than Distilled)

Clamps aren't used anywhere except the Res. fill tube. Otherwise, everything is very secure - so secure I cant remove most of the tubing from any of the plastic barbs without ripping of the block off the Motherboard - literally.

Man those Copper sinks were heavy as hell. The THermal tape would barely stick to the Matte surface texture of the ram, but stick very well to smooth surfaces.

Instead, the thermal goop used (came with some swiftech stuff) was very very very dense (dense like... JB weld mixture about 10 minuites setting thats the best I can describe it) and some super glue awards me with peace of mind knowing that the Sinks wont fall on my other cards causing a short *opens side panel once again*.

Very nice. Was your water cooling that loud before? Also, is your IHS removed from your Q6600?

Nice looking system! although i personally would have gone Res > pump > rad > CPU > NB > rad > GPU 1 > GPU 2 > res, so the GPU and the CPU get the coldest water and none of the heat from the pump.

I do have a backplate, however the mount isn't very tight at all. Warpage is probably due to heat (i have no clue when it happened....), but now I have a fan blowing over it and I haven't had a BSOD since. Will upgrade when something happens to it. If it aint broke - don fix it... well maybe...

I do have spare MC14 heatsinks, but I dont think Im going to take the rig apart soon, probably not until Nvidia's 10k series come out or a Crysis sequel gets released. hehe
