Default Barometric Pressure

My local shop told me "I do not suggest water cooling in Alaska". I asked why? He says " the barometric pressure difference between summer & winter will blow the tubing".

Is this true or should I declare shenanigans?

I mean if barometric pressure killed water cooling in a computer imagine what it would do to cars/trucks where the cooling system is under 13-20 psi....There is virtually no pressure on the water cooling of a computer. Also you should have a reservoir of some kind that holds extra coolant, so that would basically create a vent of sorts for the changes in pressure.

There might be a truth behind it - but not enough to blow your tubing. As said you can get a reservoir if you're really paranoid.

Absolute BS; the pressure difference wouldn't have that kind of effect.

The guy could be correct, I have no idea. But I do know that winter does not instantly turn into summer and summer into winter. Thus you would have plenty of time to "relieve pressure" If there was any...
