Okay i had a 9800gtx but I took it out of my system and put the stock cooling back on. I had the D-Tek GPU water block that does not cover the ram sinks. Anyways I just stepped it up to the new GTX 280 so do you think when I send it in they will take off the stock cooling and see if I changed stuff. The only thing that is different is the original thermal paste on the nvidia was that grey stuff but I currently have Ceramique stuff on it which is different color.
Here is a list of stuff that voids the warrant... Quote:

i doubt that they will open it up, but i could be wrong. i think they will plug it in to make sure it is working.

EVGA warranty allows you to change the TIM.

oh okay, well the thing is the product is defective i do not know what happened to it one day it stopped working. i was going to do an RMA on it, but i called them last night and asked them if i could step up and send them the defective card that I was going to RMA. just so i dont have to do an RMA, then send that card in for a step up. He told me that they will take the defective card so i dont have to do an RMA then stepup, but it might take a little longer because they have to check why it is defective and such.
