hi guys
__________________im in the process of making a watercooled setup from scratch. im basically gonna be cooling: 1. northbridge 2. GPU 3. CPU thus 3 splits. considering this running on a single waterpump, what must be the flowrate of the pump? and what are the flowrates of your pumps? and how many splits? thanks

As far as a pump go with a Swiftech MCP655 vario.
IMO don't water cool the NB, but get a good after market HSF for it. I'm running 2 loops in my rig. A CPU and a GPU loop. Using Swiftech MCP355 w/petra's top and a MCP350 w/petra's top. I had the pumps so just added the tops. My CPU loop flow using martinm's flow chart is 2.15 gpm with a Fuzion block and BIX 240 rad. My GPU loop using his chart is 1.77 gpm with 2 MCW60 GPU blocks and a BIX 360. Using the MCP655 with my loops my GPU would be 2.02 gpm and and my CPU would be 2.17 gpm

Splits are almost always a bad idea. You should either put them all in series or use 2 seperate loops. (Probably one for cpu, the other for mobo/gpu)
The Laing d-5 vario http://www.petrastechshop.com/swmcin12pu.html or DDC 3.2 http://www.petrastechshop.com/ladd1mcin12p.html are the most commonly reccomended pumps. The DDC can (actually you will probably have to) be fitted with custom tops to optimize flow/pressure. -Mark

I'd run it all in series...res-pump-rad-cpu- nb-gpu....If you are just running one GPU you can get away with it in your CPU loop easily enough, if you are thinking about SLI you might want 2 separate loops if you are looking for high clocks...
D-5...D-5 Vario...All the way...Don't get the Swiftech "B" model, it has 30% less flow then a vario as tested by Martin and CrazyJoe...
