Have it stick out the front of your case. That would be hot.

I was thinking about having it stick out some empty 5.25" drive bays, but it would interfere with my case's front door. I could take the door off, but it doesn't look as good imo. I was juggling the possibility of putting it in the drive bays and then cutting a smoky grey bubble viewport out of the front door, but I don't want to have to worry about cutting through the thick aluminum with my limited modding supplies and experience.

Hi.
![]() Here is a small blurb on building a buckyball. It has been my experience that forming compound angles with materials such as acylic and lexan can be tedious ~ not to discourage you as it can be done. The buckyball design may alleviate the need to use compound angles as the panels are comprised of hexagons and pentagons. These geometric shapes are not inherent in the design of the BD's head(s), but perhaps they could be tweaked in a manner so that the final outcome becomes clear insofar as the intention. Another possibility is following in the footsteps of the geodesic dome. Here is a little blurb on them. If you scroll down a little ways you will see some formulae that outlines some of the basics for various geometric shapes and their potentiality in constructing 3-D objects. This may all seem over-the-top, but oftentimes obstruse information contains small nuggets of useful techniques that are transferable to a smaller and less complicated project. I can see that you are well-prepared in the design stage as your drawings are excellent, and outlined clearly.... I only wish that I had that kind of skill... ![]() P.S. I did receive your PM, and I will respond this evening.

Have a sound box attached to it so that when you turn on your PC it says "Mr. Bubbles!"
