whats the blue wire do again? noob question i know. that and i'm friggin tired. thanks!
edit: i'm thinking its either to control how fast its pumping or its for something to measure how fast its pumping. not sure which.

I think I kinda remember, is it on a 3 pin plug? It's the RPM monitor to verify that the pump is flowing.

I'd say it's for RPM monitoring on the MB; the 3-pin connector would connect to a MB fan header or to the Molex power via an adapter. Bear in mind that on many motherboards not all fan headers are equipped for fan speed monitoring and/or control.

Yup, you can also connect it to a fan controller with monitoring.

On my Asus MB I have 2 of the 4 fan headers that will monitor RPM and have one pump plugged into each. I monitor the RPM's through PC Probe and also set an alert if the pump does not start or the RPMs drop below what ever setting I choose.
