Hey,
__________________I want to cool a Q6600 and two 3870's. What are my best options? I don't really want to do two loops because I don't want to purchase two pumps and two reservoirs. Could I put two rads in one loop with just one pump like this? (I would go with a 480 rad but I can't fit that into a Lian-Li A71B case) ![]() Thanks

I ran a dual rad loop before. What cpu block do you plan on using? Gpu block?

You can put 2 rads in one loop its just going to add more resistance to flow. If you have a good pump it shouldn't be a problem.

Im no expert but you would need a nicer pump than with 2 loops.

Hi.
![]() This loop order works well: Pump > Rad #1 (220) > CPU > Rad #2 (120) > GPU > Res. Here is an example.

Is that the D5 Vario pump?
__________________Do you suggest only a 120mm rad after the Q6600 or should I stick with a 240mm? Thanks, +rep

You can't beat the addition of more surface area. 2x 240mm is good.
That's definitely a D5 (get the vario one!)

Do you want to keep it all internal? If not I would just put a 480 on top of your case, or make a stand like I did for mine once and just stood it at the rear of my case...It would be cheaper, I like keeping my rad out in the cooler room ambients also, has to help temp's a little...

Two Black Ice GT 240mm rads are actually cheaper than one 480mm rad on Petra's.
