Default [Project] custom rad box

so after my failed 1st attempt at WC'ing my cpu and mobo with a single TT bay rad ( ), i set my sights higher... n the form of 2 TFC X-Changer 360 rad's (and a possible custom water chiller also, linky).

i got started designing this rad box a few weeks back and decided 2 share with all u lovely ppl. it's basically the same size as my TT armor case, just not as wide from the front. about 20"Hx6"Wx21"D. just 2d drawings... 1 day i'll learn 2 3d CAD

this is the outside of the case

inside framework and rads and res

and the parts layout i'm gonna build it all from

whatcha all think?

did a rough assembly of the frame and built a 4" dia. x 12" long stainless reservoir. here's the pics...

this was done outta 16 ga. stainless, but i have a sheet of 60 thousandths aluminum that i'm gonna build it all out of. now that it's all done tho, and looking at other pics n the forums, i think instead of having the fans/rads n front, i'm gonna move those toward the back and build a custom clear reservoir to go down the whole front side with uv lights behind it.

something like this...

I have a feeling that stainless steel is going to galvanically corrode with copper.

It depends on the alloy, but most stainless steel is a more "noble" metal then copper and brass, kind of surprised me to the first time I saw it.

yeah, i believe stainless has a lot of nickel in it, that nice metal they've been plating all those nice aluminum and copper water blocks in. all the metal barbs r nickel plated as well.

i got a question, is galvanic corrosion still a problem if there is no electrolyte or electrical path between the metals present?
