I wanted to know what the best way to mount a double 120mm radiator to the back of my PC using the 120mm exaust port, but not using the exhaust for the rad intake...

Just Fold It.
|
The best thing to use is a Swiftech RadBox, but they usually go for almost $20. Instead, gut an old 120mm fan and use that as a spacer. Works good!
Here is a link to the RadBox: http://www.swiftnets.com/products/MCB-120-r2.asp

ya, seconding the radbox. the easiest thing for what you want to do.
there's another method involving a bunch of long threaded rods (found at local hardware stores) and some nuts. *waits for rod + nuts jokes* *sigh* simply put: long rod, thread through exhaust fan and case, space before the radiator and its fans, use the nuts to hold it all together at the ends and in between. although all said and done, it's around the same cost. so it's either the DIY look or the not-so-DIY DIY look

I provide....LEVERAGE!

Both above answers are correct, but remember that the radbox includes a baffle to prevent/redirect hot air coming out of the case from going into the radiator.

I have mine mounted on the back with the rad box baffle and I still don't put an exhaust fan at the usual back mounted position to avoid that.

Just a couple of Home Depot 90 degree brackets here, cut and bent out a little..
![]() Setting them out and to the side, helps keep the case hot exhaust pretty separated once the case covers are put back on.
