Also, since I may be running two loops, which rad would be better for CPU/GPU? 3x120mm for CPU/GPU? Remember, GPU will be a 4870X2.

A lot of it depends on the fans you use. You could have an 120.8 and it would suck with really lowrpm fans.

I would imagine with 80cfm fans, a triple 120 would probably be fine. My rig is cooled on a couple 50cfm fans, even with an OC'd quad it runs at 50C load on the CPU, 48C load on the GPU.

I think with some ULTRA KAZE 200rpm fans and a 120.3, you would be fine with one loop. If you get a waterblock that is fairly low restriction (DONT get a storm waterblock) and a fairly low restriction GPU block (MCW60s on each core?), that single pump would be more than enough.

Those GTX rads have very dense fins so faster fans will be better such as the Ultra Kaze..also what block will you use??

These are some aluminum channel shrouds on this 480 that I made, kind of a pain, you have to cut out semi-circles in them and all that so you don't restrict fan air flow...I just use gutted 120x38mm fans mostly anymore..

But long story short it goes like this, rad-shroud-fan...Seal the shroud to the rad, fans to shroud with clear silicone to make it all air tight...Shrouds help to close the hole in the middle of the fans air flow so that more air is pulled over more of the rads surface...

I'd use some 86cfm Pana at least on any rad, a 2000 rpm Kaze is about the same thing...86cfm Pana

Now I understand completely. Thanks everyone. I only have two questions. Where can I get some clear silicone? Ace Hardware? Also, would PVC piping work? I used it for the intake on my Ginsu mod and that works perfectly for the th 120mm fan. What size meaning the width between the fan and rad should the shroud be? Ok, so there were 3 questions.

Ira-K has said the optimal widteh of a shroud is 1.5", which is why many people suggest gutting 120x38mm fans. As to what the shroud should be made of, as I said gutted fans (38mm version) make great shrouds, just look at one of the guides here on how to make them.

Hey, I just realized something. I looked at the Dark Desire Mod by Sum0n3 and just realized he has fan casings as shrouds doesn't he? I just thought it was to pull more air through. I truly have learned something new and important today. Thank you for furthering my knowledge.
