you know how petra's has the gel stuff? well i was wondernig what else is there? cause i saw marcus say that it overheats the pumps way too much or something. got any ideas?

Use 2 of them then. You could use any foam or dampening material. Or I've seen someone cut out the middle (like a donut) around the center portion which tends to heat up.

I sometimes use the peel and stick foam pad that comes with them, stick it on and cut the center out so its open to the air...Then mount it with just the foam or bolts, or bolts and springs...
Sometimes I mount them with just 2 rubber o-rings on the bottom of the bolts, that holds the pump up so all the bottom is open to air...I used to have little 40x10mm fans blowing up on the bases, cant hurt... ![]() Marcus is right you want to keep a DDC base as cool as possible... ![]() ![]() ![]()

I copied what Duckie has. I found some sticky thermal pads on ebay and stuck the pump to a strip of alu. But leaving a good gap in the middle of the pump. Works brilliantly! dissipates a lot of the pumps heat.
