You need to test for stability when youre jumping into OC'ing. Usually its a voltage or latency issue thatll crash and reset your comp.

Well I had my friend test each DIMM by booting and running a game/program to see if any of them were bad.
__________________Upon removing a DIMM, he noticed a foreign object lodged into one of the DIMM slots. Upon seeing this, he sent me a picture message of the object to which I responded "what the hell is that!?" and "Well..who installed the memory" Thats what I get for letting my PC-noob friend install the mem lol. Doesn't seem to have any stability issues right now. Going to check system stability tomorrow and then start tuning! Will update as needed.

My E6400 is well over a year and a half old... It still keeps up with a stock E8400.... And intel has been on top for longer than a year.... ![]()

Update:
__________________upped the voltage for the ram to 1.95v and the CPU to 1.5 (although CPUZ still shows cpu voltage at 1.36...) Almost all the way through the benchmark and my video card starts to make a very audible buzz when there's a lot of action/movement on the screen. I see an amber light on the underside of the card start to flash, my coolant temp skyrockets from 32 to 38+ and my coolant temp alarm goes off. So I abort the benchmark... What the heck is happening??

Sounds like you overloaded your WC'ing loop, just to much heat for it to handle. You might be able to boot to Windows and do general computing, but when you put a prolonged stress on it benching it just cant dissipate the heat fast enough. What did your CPU and GPU temp's look like?
You should check and make sure your getting good flow to, that could really bounce up your temp's if your pump is going out or you have a blockage of some type. Do you just have a 120mm rad on all of that? If you do you might try adding another fan on it in a push or pull, just the opposite side that your using now, and or use some higher cfm fans on it..A little 120mm rad is just not a lot of cooling power with-out strong fans. A 32-35 coolant temp is pretty high if you have a average 25C room ambient, I try to keep a rad out temp no higher then 5C above room ambient and I prefer it at a 2 or 3C max..

Geeze i'm getting really frustrated.
__________________![]() Here's whats happening. My CPU temp idles at 36-37c and while running a torture test for 20mins with Prime95 the highest the temps got were 51c. My coolant temp didn't go above 36c. My GPU is idling at 50-52c and I can't really get the temp while doing a benchmark since it takes up the whole screen. I've run 3Dmark successfully a few times, then i got that wierd error...something like "IDirect3DDevice9::Present failed: Device lost (D3DERR_DEVICELOST)". When I try to 'test' OC settings with the OC'ing software included with the card "EVGA Precision", I get a physical mem dump every time. (blue screen of death) I'm also getting random lock ups and/or reboots with stock settings and good ram. (tested some other ram from my other computer and getting the same errors) All that in addition to that very audible whine/buzz I had coming from the GPU when I ran 3Dmark last time; followed by a nice blinky amber light and an overheated graphics card. ![]()

Huh. If your temp's are OK and the ram,GPU card and all that is fine its something to do with your OC or the way your OC'ing it maybe.
No need to get frustrated with it, I would just go ahead and re-seat your ram and GPU, clear CMOS and start over again. Just try one thing at a time and do it in small steps, when you get to desk-top let it settle in for a few minutes then Prime 95 it, do the blend test first, then if it throws a error try just small FFTs and see if it will pass for 10 or 20 minutes, if it does OK look at your ram timings or v-dimm.Just give it a little more v-dimm or loosen the timings a little and boot to desk-top again. Just change one setting at a time. If it will pass blend this time for 20-30 minutes go ahead and re--boot and raise your fsb a little more and so on...Thats how you can get your CPU OC more stable and higher. GPU OC I would do the same way, I don't OC mine but I'm sure there are plenty of stress testing app's for it also..Just do it in small steps... Some like using OCCT better on CPU stressing, I just like the blend better on Prime 95..

id say you need to get a bigger 240 or even at worst get a 360mm rad. thats alot of heat for a single 120mm rad to handle
