if you read the information at the link I posted you would see that the mineral oil had no effect on the fans at all, even after a year of almost 24x7 running!

The fans turn slower, but they dont die. I did something like this once. I still have pics and a video of it.
My experiment was with a PSU only though, and it was completely submerged in mineral oil. I removed the top of the psu to let the hot oil get away from the psu. The fans dont do a heck of a lot, but make a ripple effect. It doesnt take much to mix it around. Oil mixes with itself very nicely. thats why oil is used to lubricate and cool your motor instead of water :P (yes oil DOES cool your car, it draws the heat immediatly away from the heat generating components and directs it into your engine block where it is taken away by your coolant system) The problem which WILL be encountered with this setup (I did) is that the oil will eventually become saturated with heat to a point that it cannot possibly keep up. To solve this issue, I immersed a few waterblocks in there and ran a water line though the oil line. Its does lower temps in the end, but not by a whole heck of a lot. Its like going from a really good air system to water.. temps go down, but as much as people think. in the end, I scrapped the project. Wasnt feasable.

Well put.
As mentioned before in this thread, the idea of a submerged PC is more of a novelty than anything. You can lower temps by pumping the oil through a radiator if you wanted but most likely anyone doing this kind of setup is not going to use it as a primary system anyway.
