Yeah, I could try that, but something tells me that the one I'm married to is just going to think it's stupid computer geek crap That's ok, she has other redeeming qualities

Unless your just really wanting to push your GPU's I'd just stick some good HSF's on them to. Like you said the blocks are expensive, if you cant just use a good core block like the Swifty 60. If your not pushing their clocks I'd rather see you add something extra to your CPU only loop, or high binned ram, something that will better help your CPU clocks...

All I do is OC and hang cooling gear on my rig to OC a little higher. The only other thing i do with my rig is web surf, so I'm kind of CPU oriented anyway...

Hey if you can find sponsor like that shoot them my way to......HaHa...
Something I'd thought about. They could probably stay on air, at this point, not many people really know what these cards are capable of, best guess is going to be near 1GHz core, but how much voltage mods to get there I don't know. The stock cooler at 40% is tolerable and keeps temps pretty reasonable (50 idle/ little over 60 load). The CPU needs to go up, it without a doubt is holding back the sheer amount of information these GPU's can process. I'd like to see 3.8-3.9, I know it can be done voltage wise, temps are the concern. As for the RAM, I'm always concerned about the memory controller with the 4x1 arrangement, but the ram in 2x1 mode will run 1200MHz at 5-5-5-15 2T on 2.2V.

By any chance to your "responsibilities" have mouths just like mine do ?
If so, i have 4 of 'em ... 9, 6, 4 and 2 years old. ACKAGE !

I feel your pain ... I haven't added up my total on WC gear just yet ( not sure if I wanna know ) ... but it's gotta be near your total.

nah, luckily (at this point) my responsibilities don't really include mouths like that (the cat doesn't count). Mainly things like, saving for a house, paying off college debt, keeping the household economy up and running. The college debt is a bit stifling, it's two-sided, on the one side I came out of school with enough college debt to buy a small house (in Southern Maine, property ain't cheap), on the other side of it, I wouldn't be making the money I do without it. So, it's tough to tell at this point which one is FTW.

Well after you get a little more play time with the cards you'll be better able to tell if a good after-market HSF will be enough with them...

Now if you could get a 500 fsb on that quad it would be screaming..Does the NB on your mobo get very hot? If it does you can all ways go after-market on it first, then if that doesn't do it WC it, after the CPU of course...These are killer little HSF's...Swifty Chip HSF.

Keep a little fan on your ram, I've gotten an extra stable 50mhz or so from keeping them cooled...

I'd love to see 500FSB, but I'm not sure there have been a whole lot of 65nm Quads that have hit that kind of FSB, I'm guessing my FSB will be more like 450 or so. That would be decent. I'm not really sure what "hot" is for a NB. I know that I don't need any added voltage to run 400FSB so it runs in the mid-40's, touching low 50's under load. I definitely think a spot fan blowing across the RAM and the NB would help, even with the air I've got in there now, they don't get the kind of air they probably should. I've never WC'd chipsets, mainly because in order to do the NB, you've got to do the SB (heatpipe assembly, and there isn't a whole lot of room to have a SB cooler with the CF cards in there. I can't wait to get some decent overclocking going on these cards though, the whoppin' 40MHz allowed by CCC just doesn't cut the mustard. Though the 800MHz on the memory isn't too bad. I don't think those numbers are anywhere near their limits.

My NB isn't bad either, I just strapped a couple of 40x10mm fans blowing on each end of the stock HS..When I condensation proof this mobo in a week or two I'll use one of those Swifty HSF's, I'm not getting over 40-45C on it right now with a Prime load with a 1.58v on the NB ..

450 should still get your ram band-width on up there...My ram's holding me back from a 500, I can only hit 485 keeping it at a 1:1..This little E7200 is a fun chip, its going to be a blast to get it under a TEC, I'll pick up some more ram by then...

y does every1 talk **** on the "B" version? i've got that 1 pump runnin my whole loop - cpu, gpu, nb, sb, both vregs/mosfests and ram running 2 TFC 360 rads - and it doesn't skip a beat. i have no idea what the flow rate is, but it shoots the water n2 my reservoir an inch or more (can't c n there that well) past the 6 inch inlet tube and all my temps - cpu, gpu, mobo and ram - r around 31°C idle and don't go 2 far from there under load.

i guess i'd just like 2 know what that extra money would get me?

The "B" isn't a bad pump at all, it only flows what the vario version does on the #4 setting, vario's you can adjust from 1-5 on a little rheo on them...At the #4 setting the vario flows around 30% less...So we always try to get the guys to get a vario, its just $10 bux more...Another thing besides just higher flow is you can set it down on the # 2 or 3 setting while your bleeding and it will bleed a little faster..

The "B" isn't terrible and comes in the Swifty Ultra kits now...But for another $10 you can get around 30% more flow, why not grab a vario?
