Ok i recently tried out pentosin g11 from petras tech shop and with the lights on it looks green instead of the dark blue it should look. I cleaned my setup very well and made sure no color pigment was left from the last loop...and new tubing.

Anyone know if i just need more or what, its light teal when i put UV light in but still greenish? im guessing i need more to get that effect or maybe im gonna stay away from this color from now on.

Yeap, I am highly disappointed with my same setup! I used 2/3 G11 and probably 5+ drops then 5+ more and not so hot for sure

ON a brighter side, it was cheap dye and I did not expect so much I guess.

Does anyone know if the light color is just because its not at 1/10 ratio yet. I put more then a half gallon jug to fill my loop and 1 + 1/2 bottle of g11. hell i even added tracerline dye thats blue and still seems weak or watered down i guess?

Well man, I have a small loop BIPII and just my CPU and I added it straight to my Res and it sucks. So I doubt your mix has anything to do with it. My loop only holds maybe a 12oz bottle of water? I dunno exactly, but I do know a very small bowl, and I put what I said above and even where my tubes are 2-3" from a UV tube it is not bright at all

Did you buy yours from petras tech shop. It has to have a UV dye added to it like petras does. Pentosin g11 by itself is not truly UV. Is it green in normal light tho?

Yeah I bought the G11 and The Petra's brand UV dye, and yeah I emailed him the day I got it about the dye itself being green/yellow and he was quick to reply and told me that it is only like that in the bottle and for me to test in a glass of water. And yeap, it was UV blue in water. The G11 itself was blue though, just the dye looked green

But added into 2/3 of their bottle of G11 and 10+ drops of Uv dye and it is not so great at all.

Hold up a sec, and I will post some pics of mine if my camera can handle it

Ok, this is with 2 x12" UV tubes, and one 80MM tube on that side fan you see. And I do have to say as well, my camera actually makes it look much better/more UV then it is in reality.

So.... Much less UV/coolness then it appears on my camera

Yeah i was asking about it with out UV. Yours is actually blue mine is a very ugly tint of green. Not blue whatsoever.

You don't want to use over around 10% Pentosin and the rest distilled water with a little UV added if you want it. Its just anti-freeze and will get to viscous if you use to much, it will really hurt your temp's..Its not a dye, its a anti-corrosive coolant...

I understand what its purpose is but not why its green and not blue. I use about 3/4 a gallon of distilled water to get everything filled up. so if 128 ounces are in a gallon i use around 95. So i would need about 10 ounces of pentosin to make that 10 % correct?
