Default Custom Reservoir

This was just a test piece to see how well threads would turn out, I built a 700gal fish tank out of 1 1/2 acrylic 2yrs ago and it has never leaked so it should work good for this.

I'll post a photo when I finish the one for my case, the local supplier I get it from also has tube up to 5" which would make some cool Reservoirs.

Looks pretty good to me !

I'm making my reservoirs out of 2.5" OD x 2.0" ID acrylic tube with machined 2.5" OD Rod ends for caps.
USPlastics here in town.

Yeah thought about making a round one or something where you can see the water squirt out maybe next time.

Nothing special top is a fillport you can see it coming out at the top of the case where my water temperature probe goes into now

Nice !

Is that 1/4" acrylic ?

Also, did you have to use a router to get the edges smooth / square enough to make the box ?

THX,
Yes it's 1/4" acrylic just used my table saw which cuts smooth, didn't polish the edges though which would of looked nicer.

Definitely a need for a "How To" with images and full details as to the equipment used, epoxy, glue, solvent, etc ... as well as techniques / tools that can be used for different effects.

Just got my router and bits today for mine ... gonna do some test runs first on some scrap 1/4" I have lying around ... then the real fun starts !

I second CrazyJoe's request. Could you provide some info on the different steaps you took making this? I am planning on doing an acrylic project later this yeat and I would be very interested in how you do this properly and safely. Very nice work.
