if you need to take the side off in a hurry ,how are you gonna manage that?maybe you could put the barbs on the outside and use the standard w/c holes on the 900 to come through the inside and out to the barbs on the res, hell you could make it a feature of the case if you use some good lighting

edit:sorry for the loss of family

Thanks for the concern.

Really im planning on having this reservoir as a showpiece...not a real reservoir.
I have a d5 running at 3 and will splice my flow with a t line reducer. so....
Then....
1/2------1/2....have a 1/4 in barb and a 1/2 out barb to make sure water
l stays low and just doesnt fill up the res. i need the
l water at the right level to stay a waterfall.
1/4

That way it is a nice slow waterfall. I have no problem using an extra foot of tubing and have no worries about my flow as everything is non restrictive. I really am doing this for S#$ts and giggles. If it works ill be happy if not i learned something. i wont be filling from this res or bleeding. So really im going to make it so i can pull of the side panel and simply push it to one side
