Just to add to that, you also don't even need to buy RAMsinks. The 4870 comes with an aluminum uni-sink that does the job quite nicely.

I'll post a pic later but I took the stock cooler apart like alex said. It covers the ram perfectly(of course) and leaves plenty of room for the above mentioned water blocks. I use the D-Tek GFx V2 and it works great.

On a side note. It's a hell of a lot lighter than a full face and cools the gpu equally if not better.

Avoid the D-tek v1 as it is one of the most restrictive blocks out. The swiftech MCW60 and V2 flow much better.

As you can see, it does the job nicely.

My VRM's max out at 52 degrees, and that's at full load, with the card @850/1100.
