I would suggest getting the swiftech res as I have used it in the past and it was awesome. Not only does it do it's job well but it looks great in a system if you have CCD's or other forms of lighting.

What rad are you using? I recommend the swifty res btw.
__________________If you're using a stock thermaltake radiator, I would really recommend you not. Being thermaltake, I wouldn't doubt that there is at least some aluminum in there. Either that or it's a condenser style rad that performs terribly.

Why not mount it externally?
__________________If you think about it, mounting externally can actually help temps a bit compared to being inside the case. It will be in the cooler ambient air, rather than inside the case with all the components. And that is a good rad, but very overkill for a E8400. Are you planning on putting a GPU in the loop in the future?

That radiator is a monster. My friend has it and it cools his CPU and both his GPU's and it still has VERY low temps. He does mount it externally even though he has room in his case but that's because of what Gir said.

That rad will handle your cpu, a 4870x2 and a nb like a champ. Go for it
