I know I've read this somewhere on OCN. I've searched and searched and can't find it. I have Pentosin and PT Nuke. How much of each per whatever volume of water? I'm running just distilled water right now because I don't want to screw it up.

"Pentosin w/UV additive mixed at 4 ouces to 40 ounces of distilled water.

Then 2 drops of Petra's Tech "PT Nuke" biocide..."

Further down,

"I mix mine at a 10-1 ratio"

but you could've probably extracted that ratio from what i first quoted

quite a brew he stirs.

Thanks. Yeah I know that the two bottles from Petra's tell you what ratio to use, but OCN users don't always follow the instructions, do they?

Petra's tells you to put much less in, 1 drop per liter.. I usually follow the 10-1.. its pretty potent stuff, but it does get toasty in those loops and things definitely get the chance to grow

For Pentosin, Petra's said 9-1. 1-2 drops of PT Nuke.

PT NUke is pretty acidic, you want to keep your coolant more alkaline 7-8 pH,so bacteria wont grow in your loop as easily..Thats the only problem I can see with using to much, and you would have to use a lot to get your coolant more acidic...

What I do is fill my loop until my reservoir is a quarter-filled (and I know all my bubbles are out). I drop 2 drops of PT Nuke in, then use Pentosin to achieve the color I want. If I have any volume left over in my reservoir, I top it off with an animal sacrifice (just kidding- I top it off with more distilled water).
