and i'm not sure about the sizes...

i'm planing to do it this week, so i don't have much time but any way i have a big peace of copper so i can make up to 3 maybe 4 blocks :P

oh.. hehe and the question is, should i go for the block #1 #2 #3 or #4 ?

PS: the copper smells bad and it don't look good, how can i make it shine like # 4 ?
sand and polish?

What are you going to us to make it with? Do you have a drill press you are going to use? Or do it all by hand with saws and files?

i'm going to take it to a workshop, and i guess that they are going to use a drill press.

here, cnc machines are insanely expensive.

If they can do the pins I'd go for #3, have them make you a jacket for it and a top to..You can solder the jacket to it to save some money, but I would have them drill and tap your top...6-32 for the screws and G1/4 for the barb threads..If you do the pins base I'd use a 3 barb top, center in and 2 outs diagonally in each corner, you can get some pretty good flow that way...

For a 2 barb block # 2 would be a real nice one to, or #4 for that matter..

Well the pin block has to have sides around it right? The side you make will just be a rectangle with a big hole in the middle, thats called a jacket...You can just solder that to the base...Then you have to have a top and mounts for it to, I would have them drill and tap the holes out for that, 6-32 is the most common size screws for that...The the thread size for the barbs I would have them tap those out to G1/4, thats the most common barb thread size now...

Here are a couple of my blocks, fstfrddy here on the forum makes them...This is his site.Stinger WB's ..Maybe that will give you some ideas to..

i'm sorry guys but i don't know why i can't be satisfied with the block that you choose.

have you seen any comparative between that block and another one with the same pump and rad ?

sorry to be so annoying, is hard for me to make a decision, i started and stopped this project 3 times in 2 years and just now after 2 year i bought the copper :P

i haven't seen any comparison tests between the different designs, but it's simple physics. the more area that the coolant has 2 touch, the colder it will keep the block.

#2 and #4 will work, but they just won't work as good as #3
