yes that is the design I would go with myself! you can put a gasket around the inside of the 2 pieces and tighten them down good...you need to make sure you tap those barbs really well! Congrats on finding some copper...

Thats looks pretty good...I notice you have your barb holes marked as 1/2", you'll want those drilled and tapped at whatever size your barb threads are going to be..So decide on the barbs before you have them drilled and tapped, I'm sure whatever shop is going to make them could easily make your barbs also...Remember that you'll have to have enough room in between them for your tubing to go on them...In other words the external size of the tubing will be 3/4".

Nice draw up work there....Be sure to give us some pic's when you get it made, I'd love to see it.

Most barb threads are G1/4 anymore, though you can get G3/8 also..If they make them for you I would make them as large as possible for good flow, just make sure the OD of the barbs is 1/2" or a bit larger so the tubing will fit it tightly.

ok, i went to a few workshops and they just want to charge me like a 100 dollars or more for something that they didn't know how it was going to be done.

so, i'll just going to buy a drill and do it my self...

i have copper for 3 blocks

the first try will be this one, i know that is not the best but is just to do something instead of nothing.

Too restrictive.... the total channel cross-section is much less than the fitting cross-section. Also, too many sharp angles and not enough surface area.

If you have a router it will be much easier! good luck bro and go slow...also you want a little wax or oil lube for working with copper...you will find it goes much smoother and wont gum up as much if you do Ira told me that and I was amazed at how much better it worked. I used WD40 but im sure there are better things...I think anything is better then nothing thanks again Ira! and good luck on the block bro!

Find a simple pin design and make sure it has enough flow...you don't want a restrictive home made block...it might spring a leak when put under that much pressure not to mention that it will make cooling harder
