Those aren't really any good, they are way to thin. I doubt it would help at all, you want at least a 1/2" and optimum is around 1.5"...If you cant find any 120x38mm fans to gut out, just use 120x25mm fans, thats about .98" deep...You can use those cheap silicone fan silencer gaskets, as well gaskets, to seal fans to shroud, and shroud to rad....
