I set up everything for a test run and i am having two problems. One, there's a leak in the barb of my alphacool 1510 pump. The washers pop out when i tighten the zip ties which in turn tighten the barb. So i'll probably use plumber tape to fix that. Second issue is more pressing. I have my power supply out of my pc and on my work table to power the pump and rad fans. When i connect everything to the PSU, nothing works. The pump adapter red light doesnt go on, the psu fan doesnt spin nor do the fans work. Do i need to connect it to the motherboard as well?

Well the o-ring you really should look for a new one at a hardware store. They do stretch out and can cause it to push out when tightened.
Ur second issue is common. Most psu can be tricked that their plugged in with the ground but only so much power will come. I cant even power my d5 vario pump all the way with the it being the only thing in the power supply.

Jump your PSU's 24 pin mobo cable from the only green wire to any of the black wires with a paper-clip...It should power up fine, some like to run a few fans on it at the same time to...
Leave you mobo powered down for leak testing..

Be careful with the AP1510, CD mentioned problems with the barbs and said he broke the pump trying to tighten the barbs. When in doubt use a dab of silicone or better yet some motorcycle engine case gasket, I love that stuff. Yamaha used to make a product called Yamabond, it works awesome, much better than silicone or plumbers tape.
But be careful with the AP1510, the plastic is thin. And like IRA said, you need to jump the PSU to make it run the green wire to one of the black grounds (This is like a switch to turn on the PSU): http://www.hardwaremods.com/guides/p...u_jumping.html

so basically, if i wanna do a test run, i need to solder/desolder stuff? The jumping doesnt keep it on! Here's wat i was thinking. I have a spare P5b lying around. Should i just make the connections on it and do a test run? I filled the system completely and did a suicide run by connecting everything and ran it for like 10 mins. There were no leaks. Wat dyou guys recommend? I need to run it for atleast 24hrs to test for leaks. Got the alphacool from cd! The plastic really is thin. I tightened the barbs and used plumber tape. its fine now. I just need to do a test run without soldering/desoldering wires off my psu!

Use Teflon tape for leaks. It's cheap (I heard it's about a dollar) and it will pretty much save your life.

Everything set up. No leaks after filling up the loop. Only issue is that of power supply. After jumping, it starts then after two beeps, it shuts down. I have the pump and the rad fans connected to it. What do i do?

Man I don't know, I've not had a PSU beep at me before...Do you still have the 4-pin connected to your mobo? If you do it could the mobo beeping and shutting you down...

I had to leave the paperclip in the green and black plugs. I pulled it to turn it off.
