Don't run the loop with just distilled water. You need something like Swiftech Hydrx or Pensington G11 to prevent corrosion to your pump/blocks/radiator. That rad should be fine with just your CPU in the loop depending on the fans, might want to look at D12SMs (or better) and a controller or something, I have both fans at home and they (at least to me) sound almost identically loud.
I'm sure Ira will stop in and let you know what he thinks too, trust him ![]()

I would always reccomend the 7/16ths tubing. This gives you a tight fit so you don't need clamps, (you can put them on if you feel like it, but mine are on so tight I had to use a stanley knife to cut it off when I wanted to retube). I find it's a really good idea.

What barbs do I use? Stick with the 1/2" barbs? Cause that would cut my cost by about $3, also, do I really need about 10' of tubing for a cpu only loop? Id rather be safe than sorry, but 10' is a lot of tubing. Since ive never done this im not sure how long I really do need, so I may really need all 10'.
Suggestions? Thanks for the help everyone who has posted above

Looks pretty good now, I like the 7/16" tubing better to, fits the barbs a lot tighter and is more compact and still flows about the same, like has been said use it on 1/2" barbs...It can be a little bit of a pain to get on the barbs, I'll leave you my cleaning and set-up PDF it goes into all that at length, and how to easier do it...
Just take your time setting up and really leak test it well and you shouldn't have any problems..Be sure to clean it all well before you use it.Have fun.. ![]() Martin did some shroud tests on low fin per inch rads like that and found that a push worked better on them and a shroud will still help on one, so you might want to think about shrouding it... ..How To: Make any Sized shroud in 2 minutes ..How To: Build A Performance Shroud
