Ok, I have 5 highlighters in a bowl of water, and have squeezed the juice out giving me and the water a nice shade of Orange. Now I have heard this won't hurt my setup, but I need to know, will this permanently change my hose and reservoir with orange tint? Also, what about lime or scale build up? I usually change fluid every 2-3 months.

Any type of dye will stain your tubing if you keep it in for too long, although a good thorough wash every 5-6 months will keep your tubing as good as new. You shouldn't have to worry about lime or scale buildup as long as you're using quality materials (i.e. - no degradable metals, etc.).
You should have no problems if you clean your loop every 2-3 months.

I have Sharpie Accent Orange in my loop right now... mixed with Distilled, a few drops of PT Nuke, and a drop or two of dawn dish soap. I hope it doesn't stain anything. It looks fantastic though. Turns yellow in bright UV Lights.

Dish soap breaks up the surface tension making the water "wetter" so that it can contain more heat to be transfered, thus decreasing temps.

I have never understood why people want to try to save like 6 or 7 dollars on coolant which is the LIFEBLOOD of your cooling system. I paid like 14 bux for my FeserOne, which has been awesome. Your coolant is specially formulated to not break down, not promote growth, and to lubricate your pump, not to mention it's COOLING abilities. To each their own, but for me, I will spend the 14-20 dollars on something that will be protecting my $XXXX components for X months
