Of course sealing it back up with silicone.

That could work but, keep in mind that the coolant in the 'T' part might not flow well and you might not be getting an accurate reading. Not a big deal if you're just trying to get a 'ballpark' temp estimate. You could probably grab a temp sensor for about $3 and then you'd need something to plug it into to register the temp.

Also, some coolants/additives might degrade the silicone and cause a leak.

There are inline temperature sensors that are available, although they will cost about $15-$20 each.

Performance-Pcs has a decent selection of temp sensors and displays.

Oh yea, Nice reservoir!

Hmm guess thats a possibility...the whole silicone eroding. I wouldnt really risk the hole leaking neway. j/w if it was ever attempted.

Love it, but I'm just wondering wouldn't the coolant falls create bubbles and I see a few vortices's that might hinder performance.

Lol after i got out the dictionary on vortice. Yehea there is some bubbles but with the last coolant drop the bubbles stay above the water that exits.

Like i said its a showpiece and it really has no purpose but to look good

Lol ok this has finally been taking out of my case. Seems having this attached to the side panel is actually VERY ANNOYING.

If anyone ever does this type of mod always use a quick disconnect possibility.

Sorry to hear you removed it....maybe use one of those silverstone-style doors that they have mounted on the case for the side fans...mod it for the res?

great mod though, very very fun
