Default Several New Radiator Estimator Spreadsheets

FYI, newer versions allows any RPM entered, heat load, a shroud boost, and up to four radiators in series.

And RPM performance is based on the two fans I used in my testing. 1550RPM and under I used the Yate Loon D12SM12 "Curved Blade" fan, and for the high speed 2000RPM and higher the Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000. Fans that have less or more static pressure per RPM likely have a little different results, but this should get you in the ball park.

Since I'm still learning about radiator testing and some of these like the bonnie were tested with shrouds already in place, I decided to keep them all separate. I wouldn't use these to compare radiators, I would use them to help you understand what size of a radiator you might need and how heat load and fan selection influences that decision.

I still have a couple more sets of radiator data to work through, but I'm pretty much done with my rad testing for a little while and moving on to the CPU blocks again after I do some heat dump testing of my processor.

Cheers
Martin

Update 7-28-08-Fixed the dual radiator bug where it gets stuck in open office with two radiators set, now starts with one and replaces the blank with a "0".
-Increased the shroud gain sliders to move up to 30% for push/pull with shroud gains.

Wow this is great stuff! It is ira I just messed with it since it's closest to my 360GTX.

I just clicked on the 2nd rad and clicked above in the menu on the empty space and it took it off (slightly lowering my performance, raising the bar graph )

+repped.

Sorry about that, to deselect the second rad, just click the menu and select the blank at the top.

I was going to put none in there, but it messes up the equations. Regardless, I'll work on saving those with just one radiator entered.

Thanks Martin...I still cant get the others to work, as far as taking a rad off, when I drop down I get a blue bar over the rad and cant remove it..I might need to re-install Open Office, might be that..

I knew that the 480GTX was a 1000W rad, even with just 4-3000rpm fans with shrouds it pulls it down to a 4C rad out..Those are some handy rad calc's Martin..

Good to know, I'll fix them all to starting in a single rad and repost them as they get updated. I only have regular excel so I don't check how it handles that.

Yeah, the 480GTX is a beast with 3000RPM high pressure fans..

I also need to make some higher percentages for push/pull with shrouds, it's probably something like a 28% gain with that setup.

That would be great...The 480 seems pretty close to what I was getting with a 600W load to...I don't have my rad out probe even in the loop right now to check it with, or I would...I'm setting my TEC loop back up and will have my probes back in then..But I can tell its just almost dead on with what I was getting to...Good stuff Man...

Push-pull makes all the difference in the world doesn't it..For performance or quiet computing to...Shrouds to, I know I sound like a broken record, but thats really the cheapest few C you can get in WC'ing..

Right on

I uploaded new files to the OP that should hopefully fix that dual rad bug, and also allows up to a 30% shroud gain for push/pull. I'm not really sure what percentage is right for every radiator/fan, but you can adjust as needed.
