The vario-speed adjuster knob thing on my MCP655 pump doesn't seem to be operating properly. It spins freely and only "clicks" into position at one position in its range of motion that isn't even marked by the sticker showing the speeds! So I don't know for sure what speed its operating at...
Does anyone know what this pump would default to? Or should I just try to leave the knob in the '5' position... If it would automatically go full speed, then I wouldn't care, but I bought this because it's a tank and it needs to push some juice through 3 rads and 2 water blocks.. Thanks EDIT: camera battery is charging right now... will post a pic asap

Take a penny and pop the back cover off, There is a POT in there that the little red screwdriver knob fits into. At worst, you can just use a small screwdrive and throw away the red extension.

martin... ive popped the cap off the pump and i see the small white adjuster. I dont know where to set it though. I see a '1' and a '3' but no '5'. Where do I set it to run the pump at maximum speed? Thnx
EDIT: nevermind I used my ole thinkin cap to figure out how to set it.. problem all solved now!

AFAIK clockwise is increased.......just jumper your PSU and test it out with the PC off....You can put a wire through the green pin and a black ground.
__________________I bet the white box has a physical limitation to -45deg-45deg (measure + from 90deg axis, or "3") to control the flow rate.....as the red know doesn't really seem to have any sort of notch on it.

That thing is a trim pot, you can even replace that if it was bad, you would just need to know how many ohm's and find a replacement here: www.jameco.com

yea. I turned the white thing all the way to the right until it stopped because the sticker indicates that turning it clock-wise speeds it up. Plus when I popped the cap back it on it the arrow on the top of the red extender-thingy lined up with the '5' on the sticker. Should be all good
