Default Is a 2800LPH discharge rate pump not good in cooling?

i have a DIY res and pump with a discharge rate of 2800LPH, is it mush better cooling than those 655 pumps with only 1200LHP discharge rate? or is it too powerful enough?

heres the pics of my diy pump/res

What's the head? Rig my sig for its importance.

Also, that submerged pump dumps all of its heat into the loop... not good.

hmmm that was what i suspect. what do you mean head? i use a 1/2 ID 3/4 OD tubing.

my loop is pump > radiator > dtek fuzion v2 cpu > ek nb/sb 5 > pump

heres the pic of my water cooling system as i leak testing

so am i better get 655?

Read my sig on "Head vs Flow". Knowing one without the other means nothing.

A Laing D5 (aka 655) pump does 3.8m head and 1100LPH.
Yours does 2.3m head and 2800LPH.

If the numbers are all correct, your pump is more powerful in most cases. However, the D5 is better in a high restriction loop. Another thing to consider is that the D5 is an inline pump so only a portion of its heat gets dumped into the loop. Your submerged pump drops 100% of its heat into the loop. More heat means increased loop temperature which the increased flow rate may or may not counter balance.

What pump are you using exactly?

@duckieho
i am using haelia immersible pump 6840

what is much better? a 355 with res top or a 655 with res top also?

is it always better if you have high head and high flowrate in bringing down a very good temp in load time?

i am planning to build a loop like this

Download Martin's flow rate estimator. You'll learn a lot.
