Default Water cooling a 4870x2
I wonder if it would be smarter to go dual water blocks with a heatsink on the bridge or spend like $150 for a full cover block. What do you guys think?

You'll want HS on the RAM as well....

THe choice is really up to you though. GPU only blocks are cheaper and resuable but you need to buy additional HS and routing is harder.

Gpu only blocks do not fit the x2 cards. The mounting holes are much closer together.

The only 2 core only blocks I've seen work for the 3870x2 was a zalman block and mcw30s.

Well the reason people use gpu only blocks are for flow, dedicated thermal transfer, cost, and versatility. However, if we are talking about a multi gpu card like the x2, the aspects flow and cost are greatly weakened. I just don't know...

Looks like full cover is the only way to go. The 4870x2 will use the same holes as the 3870x2.
