Ok so my loop is built and its time to leak test. So I fill-er-up with a 32OZ bottle of Primochill PC-Ice. This wasn't quite enough so I opened my other bottle of (what I thought was) PC-ICE and topped up the loop. The labels on the bottles are sorta hard to read so I didn't notice that the 2nd bottle was actually PC-Pure until after I had put about 4OZ in. So what I have is a ****tail of 32OZ of PC-Ice and about 4OZ of PC-Pure and 2 invisible blue dye bombs.
The coolant in the loop is foaming a lot. Almost out of the top of the reservoir. The coolant in the loop while the pump is running is full of bubbles, it looks almost milky. When the pump is off most of the coolant looks nice and clear but there are still bubbles on the upper parts of the tubing where gravity takes them... ![]() As I was priming and filling the loop (while there was only PC-Ice in the system) it was foaming too so I dont think the mixed coolant is causing the foam. I have stopped leak testing because I don't know how to deal with this foam... The last coolant I used was Feser1 and I had no issues with that stuff... can anyone help?

just let it keep running until your res can remove all of the bubbles from the loop. if you have too many bubbles, you'll have to suck them out and refill some more coolant into the res

TnB thnx... so should should I just leak test the loop regardless of the foam and expect it to settle?
to everyone else, any thoughts on the slightly mixed coolant? I know it would be best to drain, flush and replace with new coolant.. I'm kinda freaking right now, not sure whether to drain it right away.

Nah, I say just leave it, shouldn't cause any trouble. Just continue leak testing. If you have a D5 vario, set the pump to the slowest setting and it should get rid of the bubbles faster. It will go away in a few hours.

I set the pump speed down and the bubbles are going away with time.. I also zip-tied the res so its in the best position to pull the bubbles from the coolant. I guess I am going to leave the mixed coolant for now... I need to get some other random stuff from NCIX in the next couple days so I will probably pick up a couple bottles of PC-Ice to replace this when I feel like it.

K its been running for a few hours on pump setting '4' a lot of the foam has moved to the reservoir. I'm not sure how to get it out of there, I'm hoping that after I run it over night it will evaporate or something. When the pump is off the coolant looks crystal clear, like it should, but when the pump starts running it gets bubbly right away and doesn't look clear anymore...
Does look good under UV tho!! ![]() I'm thinking about just using distilled water with some PT Nuke and some clear/UV blue dye... It's cheaper than coolant and probably performs better. Non-conductive coolants aren't really non-conductive anyway, it seems, so water is looking better and better...
