Question Can it be too long of a loop?

Hi, first of all this is my first time here, I've been looking for a decent computer community like this for a while when I came oer this site, think I'm gonna like it here

Anyway; I am considering watercooling my pretty much everything that runs hot when overclocking. My Graphic cards (I already have two vid 398gx2s for those), And my CPU, the chipset and northbridge.

Now if I do that I would have to get some voltage regulators too, right? Because the whole motherboard mempipe would have to go off...

By the way, I'm not really an expert on these things (First PC build)...

I guess the Question is: What kind of kit should I get, will a zalman reserator xt give enough power and heat dissipation to keep every water cooled part just as cool as any other radiators/pumps? And By the way, one of the main reasons I'm getting WC on my system is to get rid of some fans. So I'm not really big fan (hehe.. not a fan of fans... heh..), not really a big fan of those giant radiators mounted on the back of the pc with 5 enormous fans blowing at it... (ok, exaggeration confessed)...

Anyway you get the point... What would be the complete set of WC components I would need to do this? You don't need to tell me what brand or model if you don't have anything special to recommend, i just want to know what types of components i need...

Thanks in advance guys

That is a lot that needs cooling.

I don't thin you need a voltage regulator.

Perhaps a radiator with 4x120mm or more? Danger Den components as well.

While the Zalman isn't junk, just as the VW Beatle wasn't junk, it may not be what you need for high speed cursing on the Autobahn.

You need to do some reading.
Establish some WCing goals.
Establish a budget.

Start here, , here , here, and maybe this spreadsheet too.

Here's one general thing to keep in mind with watercooling: More fans = potentially less noise.

How come?

Let's take the Zalman Res XT you mentioned as an example. It has one single 140-mm-fan that does all the ventilation by itself. On the lowest speed setting, this fan isn't terribly noisy, but it's definately clearly audible. On higher settings, it can get annoying very quickly.

Now, if you have a huge radiator that takes four or more fans, you can run each of those fans at minimal rpm and still get decent cooling. And, believe me, several quiet fans running at something around 500-700rpm are WAY quieter than one standard fan running at something like 1500rpm.

Cheers,
Shane

Well ^^ that's one way to look at it. Another, would be to explain that the Zalman system sould not be able to cope with the heat load of a fully w/c'd rig.. but would be suitable for gpu's only or cpu only.. something of this nature.

*I use a PA120.3 for my rad.. on my last P5K3-DLX, I had: CPU/NB/VR1/VR2/GPU & SB in loop, getting '4 core load temps' at or below 50c with my Q6600...A zalman system will never match that.
