Default Best Type of Fitting(s)??

Just wondering...

Whats everyone's opinion on the best type of fitting?
  • Brass, NicklePlated Barb
  • Plastic Barb
  • Compression Fitting
  • Push-In Fittings

I've read that some people hate compression fittings. I've always thought they were more secure...

Maybe you could add push-in fittings to the list. Though I don't actually know of anyone who's crazy enough to use them.

I'm all for compression fittings. Though I ordered some barbs to do testing with larger tubes and large compression fittings are just way too expensive.

Added push-in fittings (though i've never heard of them...)

Yea larger compression fittings are rather expensive. Koolance's fittings look the nicest but are expensive.

Had to use barbs on my Alphacool Nexxxous CPU Block because the threads were too close together for compression fittings. (I was actually quite pleased with the fit that the CPU block's stock barbs had.)

Danger Den Fat Boys and 7/16" x 5/8" tubing gets my vote..

They are such nice looking barbs, although the compression fittings are starting grow on me, until there is 7/16" compressions, I'm not sure I'd make the switch.

i use the Bitspower barbs myself, they're exactly the same as the DD's.

but the suckiest part about G1/4 threads is that the diameter is a max of 3/8's of an inch... i don't know if that hinders flow or if it acts as a venturi, speeding up flow?
