Default 8800gt sli cooling suggestions?

i just purchased another 8800gt and i am thinking of going to water cooling because the fan noise come the gpus, cpu fan, mobo chipset fan and case fans is just killing me.

should i buy a kit or juss make my own? if so what does everyone suggest i buy?
i have a pretty big case. i also think i may need a new power supply i have a mushkin hp-580ap. so yeah in short..

2 x xfx 8800gts
1 x intel 775 cpu
2 x nforce mobo chips

recommendations???

I just made this for another guy..The only change i would make is to either run 2 loops, one for CPU and the other for GPU, or use a 480 GTX rad for all of it...If your after max clocks I would put the CPU on its own loop with a D-5 pump and a 240 GTX rad...

For your GPU's I'de use a Swifty 60 with ram sinks on each one.Swiftech MCW60-R GPU ....Swiftech 60 Sinks..

Even the best kits are a compromise, much better to go custom..Something like this would work...

...For commercial..D-tek Fuzion V2 ...For Custom these are what I use...Stinger WB's

..D-5 Vario

..360 GTX ...86cfm Pana ...Shrouds help with them..

..Part-1-480 GTX-Temps W & W/O Shrouds

..Poll: Push or pull configuration for Radiators

..How To: Make any Sized shroud in 2 minutes

..How To: Build A Performance Shroud

..5.25" Bay Res ..Or just use a t-line instead..

..Use this on 1/2" barbs..7/16x5/8" ..

..Coolant..Pentosin

..Biocide...PT Nuke

Hang you rad on the back of your case with one of these...RadBox

Zip-ties or automotive type clamps ion each barb..

I'll leave you a few links to read and my cleaning and set-up PDF, it has basic stuff i it..Be sure to read all the stickies here, link in my sig..Take you time shopping for parts, comparison shop and it might save you a little $$..

ok i read your post. but heres the thing.
this is my first time setting up a water cooled solution.
the shroud is prolly something i wanna buy premade.

so for the cpu i was looking at the dtek uni.
the chipset again i was looking at the dangerden680i.
and for the vid cards i was planning on going witht he dtek combo on petras site.
however im not sure what to go with for tubing and all the other stuff.
im not even sure what you mean by 2 loops and what not.

so the break down on suggestions to make it easier.

cpu block = $64.99 http://www.petrastechshop.com/dfuv2uncpuwa.html

chipset block = $42.95 http://www.petrastechshop.com/dadenmachwan.html

video card block x 2 = $79.99 http://www.petrastechshop.com/dgfxcof88gt.html

what do you guys think??

btw i forgot to post what hardware i had in the first post.

cpu = Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
mobo = xfx 680i sli lt
video = xfx 8800 gt alpha dog edition xxx X 2 in sli.

that should better help you guys out.

I think ira-k has you covered, but I just figured I'd put it my good word for the MCW60-R + MC8800 ramsink combination. It's cheaper than a full coverage block and honestly, under heavy load my video RAM doesn't get any hotter than my GPU core. Both hover around 40 or 41C these summer days. It seems backwards to me to introduce the heat of your video RAM into your loop when some little sinks will do it just fine. That is, as long as you have some sort of exhaust fan in your system. Then again...I don't.

An Antec 900 is probably cheaper and keeps everything in the case cool even on the lowest fan settings. My pair of 88800GT's run hot in my new case and the fan's dont even break 25% in my A900.

The A900 would be cheaper than watercooling.

ok i decided to go with the full cover heatsink block for the 8800s. i know they are more but the idea of full water cooling on the card sounds alot better then juss plain ol heat sinks stuck on ram chips. i also intend on selling these cards later on. and removing those sinks would be a pain in the ass later on as well.as for the cpu block i kinda liking The V8 from stinger wb's but there is no price listed. however the dteks fuzion v2's price is very nice too.

the option of goin with the a900 antec is a no go. i am not interested in more fans and more noise i am trying to lessen the amount of noise overall.

i do have a few more questions though. if i go with the full cover for the 8800 gts would i need the mosfet heatsink still or is that all covered in the full cover block?

what type and size of tubing should i be purchasing and what kind of configuration in the case should i be setting up?

Which mobo do you have. If you complete your sig rig details, we may be able to assist better.
