WaterCooler

Hi everyone! I'm looking into water cooling my system and I don't know what would probably be the best kit to get. To start off i'm just looking to cool my cpu, but sooner rather than later my gpu. I was hoping you guys could give me some links to good kits, affordable is better but if I need to go expensive I will. Or if it would be a better idea to buy all separate parts I can do that too. I know there are different sizes of tubing and such is was wondering the advantages/disadvantages also. My cpu temps are 43-44 idle, and can hit 60C under loads, thats at 3.8ghz. Should water cooling drop those temps by a large amount?

pre-made kits = bad
i used to own a coolermaster aquagate s1 and it was really bad.q6600 stock load temps >60c. i would get someone who has a high quality liquid cooling system help you fit a set-up to your needs. stay away from pre-made/sealed kits.

from what i hear, the only premade kits that are worth looking into, are the ones made by swiftech, and the ones on petras.
i just ordered a Swiftech H20 220 myself, so ill post up how it runs when it arrives. (which wont be for a while since stupid paypal takes a week - at least - to clear funds)

Most of your pre-made kits are not that good. If I were to buy a kit this would be the only place Petra's Tech Shop. And pretty much everyone here will say buy the parts separate and the cooling will be better.

The only kits I would suggest are from Petra's tech
http://www.petrastechshop.com/wacoki.html Other than those I would say put a nice setup together. Best thing you could do is not go cheap on water cooling. You spend alot of the rest of your computer gear so don't go cheap on this important part. Feel free to ask tons of questions.. Ask before you jump... A lot of us on here asked a lot of questions from the ones on the forums that know about this part of hobby. Good luck

OK, so kits are bad... got it. So since i'm allowed to ask questions here it goes.

How much SHOULD i most likely see my core temps drop? 5. Are they silence because i've seen some with fans on them, to cool the water i guess? 6. Are most setups all internal, or do you have something sticking out, or on top of the case? I'll be back with more...

Even the best kits are a compromise, much better to go custom..Something like this would work...
...For commercial..D-tek Fuzion V2 ...For Custom these are what I use...Stinger WB's ..D-5 Vario ..360 GTX ...86cfm Pana ...Shrouds help with them.. ..Part-1-480 GTX-Temps W & W/O Shrouds ..Poll: Push or pull configuration for Radiators ..How To: Make any Sized shroud in 2 minutes ..How To: Build A Performance Shroud ..5.25" Bay Res ..Or just use a t-line instead.. ..Use this on 1/2" barbs..7/16x5/8" .. ..Coolant..Pentosin ..Biocide...PT Nuke Hang you rad on the back of your case with one of these...RadBox Zip-ties or automotive type clamps ion each barb.. I'll leave you a few links to read and my cleaning and set-up PDF, it has basic stuff i it..Be sure to read all the stickies here, link in my sig..Take you time shopping for parts, comparison shop and it might save you a little $$.. ..Water Cooling - In English ..Assembling your Custom Watercooling Setup ..D-Tek Fuzion install tip! (Or why you should clean new blocks) ..Cooling - An In-Depth Look EDIT: Forgot the PDF....
