Default Tygon Tubing questions

I was curious if anyone has seen a US vendor that carries Tygon R-3603 with a 7/16" Inner Diameter (NOT Outer Diameter). If they sell it at a decent price, all the better.

Assuming I cannot find it... does anyone know, from experience, if the Tygon 3/8" ID tubing will stretch over a 1/2"OD Barb ? I have seen many people do so with other types of tubing, I was just hoping to find out if any Tygon users have tried before. Did it ever risk splitting ?

Hopefully that works for you.

Petra's has it..7/16" Tygon .I'd just go for Masterkleer, its a lot cheap and will bend about as well to..7/16x5/8"

You can get almost any 3/8" ID on over 1/2" barbs with a little cussing...

Thanks for the links ! I have used Petratech before, not sure why I thought they wouldn't have it...

Hmm... I wonder if they make one with a 9/16"OD... I was basically going for the smallest tubing I could fit over 1/2" barbs. I hate, hate, HATE the look of 5/8"OD tubing in a case, which is why I am steering clear of 1/2"ID tubing... but I also want to keep my 1/2" barbs (since I have 14 barbs in my case already, it would cost a bit too much to replace).

As for the Masterkleer tubing, I have always preferred the Tygon stuff for it's bendability, strength, and anti-bio properties... and the price difference is only pennies per foot, so I am not worried. The only way I would use something different is if I could find some of that tubing they use for soda machines, with the white braided nylon in the tube walls, in the correct size. But that is mostly just for aesthetics.

I would get masterkleer too, get new tubing each time! 5/8" OD isn't that big.
